Description

Experience Bend’s vibrant, local community with Bluebird Day Vacation. The Cascadia Craftsman is a classic, fully restored Craftsman bungalow with a salt system hot tub in a quintessential Bend location. On Bend's popular Westside steps from Drake Park and Downtown Bend, you can leave your car behind and WALK EVERYWHERE or hop on one of the cruiser bikes provided, and explore the historic neighborhoods of Bend like a local.

Just out your front door you are steps away from all of the fun shops, restaurants, and pubs on Galveston Avenue. Walk to
10 Barrel Brewing Company, the hub of the Bend Ale Trail, Ariana’s Restaurant, El Sancho, or grab a fresh salad and juice at Mother’s, the locals fave.  Meander through the historic Bend neighborhoods to the Hayden Homes Amphitheater, the Deschutes River Trail, and the Old Mill District.  Cross the street to Drake Park and walk around Mirror Pond to arrive in the center of Downtown Bend in minutes.

After a day of exploring and adventure, soak in your own private hot tub under a Central Oregon sky filled with stars!

Located in a quiet Bend neighborhood, this Craftsman style bungalow was taken “down to the studs”, fully restored and updated with all of the modern amenities.

Enjoy the sunny and open layout as you cozy up to the gas fireplace in the living room, enjoy a good book, watch a movie on the Smart HDTV with family and friends. The comfy, upscale decor will make you feel right at home, and creates the perfect setting for lasting memories to be made!

The Cascadia Craftsman features a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, gorgeous hard wood cabinetry, and brand new stainless steel appliances. There is a bright and sunny dining nook for you to savor your morning coffee while enjoying the beautiful patio and gardens out back, or share a sit down meal with family and friends.

The master bedroom features a new, high quality King bed with European style bedding, high thread count linens and a clean, fluffy down duvet.  There are gorgeous linens and down duvets in the Queen bedroom, as well as in the Twin bedroom. The 2 twins can be pushed together to form an additional King upon request.

After a day of playing in the hills, come “home” and experience the true down-to-earth Bend lifestyle! Cook out on the gas grill on the private back patio. Relax and unwind on the large front porch and watch the day go by, swinging in the porch swing, Bend-style!

What a great trip - wonderful location and lovely home. A very comfortable home base for us to explore Bend. Beautiful neighborhood near 2 great breweries and a short walk to downtown

This house had everything you need for a vacation rental. Its super cute, really clean and had a perfect location. We had plenty of room for our family of four, more than that might be kinda tight but doable. We spent most of our time out and about anyway. It was totally stocked and if you needed a grocery store, Safeway is 2 mins away. I highly recommend Bluebird Day Rentals for any rental property in Bend. Rebecca was on it, called me back within minutes when I had questions and followed up with emails checking in with us making sure everything was good. I would rent through this company again no questions asked!

Host and management company made us feel welcome with a "just checking in" email. Neighborhood very convenient, easy to walk to multiple locations for brews, food, and even live music. Only street parking, but with three couples driving separately still easily found spots for all.

Charming weekend retreat. The craftsman house was charming and welcoming. We were delighted with the accommodations. The location was close to action, but in a quiet neighborhood. The house was very roomy and well decorated. Our twin 18-month-old grandchildren came to visit, it was very easy to supervise them outside in the fenced in yard. We loved the large front porch swing and the BBQ and hot tub and fireplace. It provided everything we needed and more.

We met 3 other couples in Bend for a week of skiing, breweries, biking and hiking. The location was perfect! It was a bit tight to sleep 8 people (one couple on the couch) but it worked well and the outdoor space with hot tub was a great way to spread out. The house is in walking distance to everything and short drive to Mt. Bachelor. Rebecca was very responsive to our needs, and the house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We miss it already!

Our family of four adults enjoyed this nicely appointed home for a weekend getaway. The lights were on as we arrived creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The home is well equipped with comfortable beds, a kitchen with all the necessary dishes and pots/pans, and bathrooms that were well designed. There are beautiful touches throughout the home. The location is convenient for walking and near restaurants/brew pubs. The neighborhood is very quiet with businesses honoring the 9pm curfew. Overall a great vacation home!

My husband and I stayed in the Cascadia Craftsman while we were in Bend and cant say enough great things about the house! The location itself was incredible-literally steps to a great yoga studio, 10 Barrel Brewery, great restaurants, and Drake Park. Home is comfy, modern and gorgeous with the most comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again!

Great house, plenty of room, fine amenities, mere feet from 10 Barrel Brewing. Fantastic place for you and your friends or family to start your Central Oregon adventure. Plenty of shops and food within walking distance, only a few minutes form downtown. We will be back!!!!

There is no better way to experience Bend! The location is unbeatable. Centrally located to all to do in Bend you have access to all the goings on without being in the middle of the hustle. The house is located in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Bend you have so much in walking distance with great eclectic food options to the Park to 10 Barrel Brewery.( in your backyard). Forget cold hotel rooms returning to a welcoming home after a long day of adventure with the most amazingly comfortable beds is the only way to be ready for the next day. We stayed at the Cascadia Craftsmen to celebrate a birthday and experience the Bend Ale trail (a must for any craft beer lover). The house was perfect for our group of three couples with plenty of space for everyone. What we really enjoyed was that when we came back to the house after a day of exploring we truly came back to a home and not a rental space. The layout of the house is perfect for groups to enjoy multiple activities at once but the b

Had a family rendezvous for Mothers Day weekend - six adults, perfectly comfortable. This beautiful home is in the perfect location - we parked and walked everywhere...downtown, Drake Park, breweries, bakeries, restaurants! Comfortable beds; living and dining rooms comfortably seated six. Bonus private back patio. This is the place to land when visiting Bend!

This home is beautiful, immaculately clean and fabulously decorated. We enjoyed the cute backyard, which is steps away from our favorite brewery, 10 Barrel. Its walking distance to downtown, the river, and countless restaurants. We were initially concerned that the house didnt have air conditioning (since we were coming in July), but the owners were super accommodating and had powerful, portable window units in the master, the bedroom with the queen bed, and the living room. The house stayed very cool and we were super comfortable and appreciative for the hospitality. We cannot wait to come back and stay in this home! It surpassed all of our expectations!

I went with 3 girlfriends for a girls weekend in Bend and had the pleasure of staying at this quiet, clean, adorable home that was decorated just the way I would have decorated my own home. It has a very cozy feeling and I especially loved the lighting and the tray ceilings. It was also fully stocked with glassware, towels, built-in washer/dryer, dishwasher, in fridge ice maker filled with ice, etc. It was within walking distance to 10-Barrell and Oblivion which was basically right in our backyard. But was also an easy walk to downtown Bend and Drake Park. Would highly recommend this company and especially this home to friends/family.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Bend mostly because of our stay at the Bluebird Day Craftsman. It was comfortable, home-y, accessible to lots of different places, and walk-able. They had bikes we could ride, but there is bike shop close by if you wanted a different touring bicycle. The home had modern conveniences and it met our needs. Rebecca is incredibly responsive when we had issues with the breakers (and it only happened once) and checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The home was private and the deck was private. They were also very accommodating when my car had an unexpected car issue which required some work. They were so kind to let us delay our check out until the afternoon because our car would not be "road ready" until mid afternoon. Very gracious and understanding

This Cascadia Craftsman was a wonderful house for our getaway. It was everything the pictures displayed - beautiful, close to town, well equipped, and stylishly decorated.

Cascadia Craftsman is a nicely finished, well-appointed bungalow and perfectly suited our needs for work and play in Bend. We were four visiting instructors at COCC for a long weekend workshop, so everyone had their own comfy bed and the 2 baths are easily shareable. We enjoyed the close-in proximity so we could walk to great restaurants after getting back from class but also enjoyed lunch breaks on the sunny deck of the house. The kitchen is well stocked, the linens and towels high quality, and the beds luxurious. Namaspa Yoga and 10 Barrel are literally right outside the back door, two gems of Bend for sure. The neighborhood is quiet despite so many local attractions, and the homes warm lighting features and gas fireplace provide a relaxing retreat. I will stay here again, perhaps get to use the complimentary city bikes next time to enjoy more Central OR fresh air.

Our family of six-stayed in the Cascadia Craftsman over Christmas and we enjoyed the house and location. The design of the house lends itself to families-grandsons loved the twin beds in the middle bedroom. The bathrooms were well appointed and the house is spacious thanks to ingenious design while being a Craftsman bungalow. We had extended family over for Christmas Eve and there was ample space in the kitchen for food prep and serving. The design of the galley kitchen feels spacious with arched ceilings and the back door to the deck and hot tub. Our family enjoys walking around Bend and we enjoyed walking to Newport Market, Nancys Pies, the Columbia Park and walking bridge to downtown,; the proximity to 10 Barrel right through the back gate was a bonus. The location, for being near shopping and entertainment, was quiet. I believe neighborhood establishments are scrupulous about honoring curfew so we enjoyed fun but had quiet nights. The kitchen was well appointed as were bathrooms.
